Maple Oatmeal Cookies

Michigan Pure Maple Syrup

1/2 cup Shortening

1 1/2 cups flour

1 cup Michigan Pure Maple Syrup

1/2 tsp. salt

1/2 cup milk

2 tsp. baking powder
1 egg, beaten
Add above ingredients together and mix well.
1 1/2 cups oatmeal

1/2 cup chopped nuts
1/2 cup raisins
Mix into the first ingredients. Drop by tablespoon onto ungreased cookie sheet. bake at 375 degrees for ten minutes. Cool on rack.
Makes two dozen.
